Current Position (February
2010)
We have three major requirements for fund-raising:
St. Joan's Centre Debt: There is currently
about £75,000 outstanding. When funds are available
it would be nice to start on phase 2 of the centre (the second
floor) which would cost some £200,000.
New Parish Organ: The debt for this
is about £60,000 - about £11000 has already been
raised.
Building Maintenance: The interior
of the church is badly in need of redecorating and there are
other requirements outlined in the parish quinqennial plan.
These are ongoing costs.
All these debts are now being consolidated
into a single parish debt and the fund-raising will be to
reduce this overall debt.
As funds are raised the loans outstanding
will gradually be paid off, unless an individual parishioner
elects to convert their loan into a gift.
