Journey in Faith
RCIA(Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
More and more people outside the Church feel
that something is missing from their lives. They are searching for
a sense of purpose and a greater meaning to life itself. In response
to this need we are running at St Joan's a programme of sharing
our faith with anyone who wishes to learn more about the Christian
message and the Catholic way of life.
The first of these took place last year, resulting in several new
members joining our community (see picture). We are now running
another session which started in Sept 2005.
For information please
e-mail Carol Harnett.
Alpha
The Alpha course is a ten week practical introduction to the Christian
faith. It is designed primarily for non-churchgoers and those who
have recently become Christians. It is also an opportunity for churchgoers
to renew their faith and learn how to share it with others. The
format is a simple shared meal followed by a video presentation
and small discussion groups.
