Journey in Faith
RCIA(Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

More and more people outside the Church feel that something is missing from their lives. They are searching for a sense of purpose and a greater meaning to life itself. In response to this need we are running at St Joan's a programme of sharing our faith with anyone who wishes to learn more about the Christian message and the Catholic way of life.

The first of these took place last year, resulting in several new members joining our community (see picture). We are now running another session which started in Sept 2005.
For information please e-mail Carol Harnett.

Alpha

The Alpha course is a ten week practical introduction to the Christian faith. It is designed primarily for non-churchgoers and those who have recently become Christians. It is also an opportunity for churchgoers to renew their faith and learn how to share it with others. The format is a simple shared meal followed by a video presentation and small discussion groups.

Click here for details of the programme of Sacraments for children.

Marriage

Anyone wishing to get married should give six months notice to the priest before the date proposed for the marriage. This ensures that not only the necessary document, dispensation and other formalities be dealt with but also ensures attendance at an Engaged Couples Course.

Communion for the Sick

If you are unable to get out to church please let us know by phone (01252 716711) or e-mail and we will arrange to visit you at home. Let us know if you know of a parishioner in hospital.
