The Promise of the Father

An exciting course to prepare us for a new life in the Holy Spirit this Pentecost.
In 2016 Pope Francis encouraged priests to "organise seminars of Life in the Spirit in your parishes." The Promise of the Father is a unique Life in the Spirit course designed specifically for Arundel and Brighton Diocese to support the Diocesan Pastoral Plan.
The seven part course, with authentic Catholic teaching, is free and aims to help us to live our lives empowered by the Holy Spirit. This promises to be an exciting, enriching and life-changing experience for everyone.
Most sessions will take place in St Joan's Centre on Wednesday evenings, starting with refreshments at 7.30pm; livestreamed teaching from the Diocese at 8pm; followed by small group discussions in the Centre. The high point of the course is a service including Mass, Adoration and Prayer for the filling and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. You can participate in this either at Arundel Cathedral or at St Joan's Church.

You should ideally aim to attend all sessions, but if you have to miss any, it will be possible to watch missed teaching on the internet.

If you wish to attend the Arundel Cathedral service on 18th May you will need to make your own travel arrangements.
